FINE METALS
This piece of jewellery is themed around growth, and especially the bizarre carnivore plants- sundews. I was inspired by the way how sundews are able to move their extremely sensitive tentacles in response to contact with their prey. Materials: nickel, plastic, seeds.

GLASS

Tardigrada Praesidio (slow-paced protector) is a very calm and peaceful animal. He avoids potential threats with his highly developed defence mechanisms. He functions as energetic reflector: turning darkness, cold, gravity etc into its contrary elements. He moves by curling up and slowly rolling about. Bristle hair at the ends of his spikes work like direct links to the universe around him. Materials: kiln-cast glass, nickel, copper, horse-hair, Hannah's hair, LED lights
CERAMICS

With these cups I want to make a social commentary on our industrialized consumer culture. When comparing these two cups, on one there are cave type drawings of animals, inspired by ancient Greek and Egyptian pottery, while the other one is the modern cup with its own little traffic jam going around in a never-ending circle.

‘The Last Fish’ is a plea to the humankind to stop polluting the waters of our planet. The lonesome human figure is the sad but still hopeful fisherman.

‘Feathers’ is a whimsical little cup with a narrative at its heart. It’s about my imaginary cat who dreams of catching a bird, not for the taste of it but to arrange a flying lesson.
